Transcription is not on this list and never will be. It runs on your own machine, so it costs us nothing to serve and there is nothing to charge for. Pro covers the work that runs on someone else’s computer and bills us per call: Ask across your meetings, translation, and write-back to Linear, Notion and Slack. AI summaries run on a hosted model too, and are free for now.
Who takes the payment
Polar is the merchant of record. That means Polar, not us, is the seller on the transaction: Polar is the name that appears on your card or bank statement, and Polar collects and remits VAT or sales tax for your country so you are not left to work it out. We never receive or store your card details.
