You should know where every word goes.
This notice describes the current preview, including what stays in your browser and what leaves only when you ask for a network feature.

Current preview at a glance
Recordings stay on your device and are never uploaded. Completed-meeting text sync, and the recording sizes and timings that travel with it, reach our servers only for signed-in users who turn on a separate opt-in that is off by default. Hosted AI sends text to DeepSeek, never audio, and only after you allow it: a summary sends that meeting's whole transcript and your notes, a translation sends the saved text being translated, and Ask sends only the excerpts selected for your question.
Data stored on your device
Audio chunks are stored in IndexedDB. Meeting metadata, notes, transcripts, action items, and consent records are also kept in browser storage so the workspace remains usable without text sync. Clearing site data or losing the device may remove local-only data, so download important recordings.
Optional text sync and sharing
When a signed-in user explicitly enables completed-meeting text sync, revisioned meeting metadata, notes, transcripts, action items, and consent records can be stored for that account and active organization. The same opt-in covers recording-recovery details: each recording's format, part count, size, duration and save progress, never its sound. Without the opt-in those details stay in the browser. Audio and browser capture chunks are rejected by this path. Meetings remain private unless their owner separately grants read-only text access to an accepted organization member; there are no public meeting links or shared audio.
AI requests
Search runs locally. Summaries, hosted translations and Ask are hosted AI: the text goes to our server, which passes it to DeepSeek, our model provider. Nothing is sent until you allow hosted AI in the prompt that appears first; that permission lasts for the tab until you close it or reset it in Settings. A summary sends the meeting's whole transcript, every line with speaker names and timestamps, plus its title and your notes. A hosted translation sends the meeting's saved transcript lines, notes and action items that are not yet in the target language; translation that runs on your device sends nothing. Ask sends your question and only the excerpts selected for it, not the full workspace. Audio is never sent. DeepSeek's own retention and international-processing terms apply to the text it receives. AI responses are not cached by our API route.
Microphone access
The browser asks for microphone permission. Audio capture begins only after disclosure confirmation and your explicit start action. Transcription runs entirely in your browser: the speech model is downloaded once and the audio is never uploaded, to us or to anyone else. There is no cloud transcription option on any plan.
Support messages
The contact form collects your name, email address, topic, and message so we can reply. If email delivery is configured, this information is sent to support@dapols.com through our email provider.
Accounts, cookies, and analytics
When account services are configured, the identity provider uses the session data needed to sign you in and resolve your active organization. The current preview does not use advertising cookies or product analytics.
Retention and deletion
You control local browser data through the workspace and your browser settings. Deleting previously synced meeting text sends an empty-content revision that redacts stored text history and revokes its active shares. Another device applies that deletion automatically only when its local copy has not changed; otherwise it shows a delete-versus-edit choice. Local consent history is retained on each device by design. You can initiate account deletion in Settings. Mobile devices open a dedicated account confirmation page and verify acceptance before local erasure. Local-only erasure is available separately. Contact support@dapols.com if a deletion reports incomplete external cleanup.
