Data processing
Who touches your data, and where it stops.
A plain summary of the processing SaidClear performs on your behalf, plus every subprocessor that is actually wired up. Nothing on this list is aspirational.
Effective 9 August 2026
Audio never reaches us
Speech-to-text runs on your device. There is no transcription vendor in this list because there is no transcription vendor: captured audio is not uploaded for transcription, and a deployment with no object storage configured never uploads it at all.
Roles
For the content in your workspace — meetings, transcripts, notes, consent records — you are the controller and SaidClear, a Dapols product, is the processor. We process it to provide the product, on your instructions, and for nothing else. For your own account record (your email address and sign-in) we are the controller.
Instructions, deletion and assistance
We process only to run the product. Deleting a meeting deletes it; closing your account runs the deletion described in Settings, and local recordings are erased through the device’s data controls. SaidClear does not upload recordings for transcription. Optional synced text and provider processing have separate retention terms. If you receive a request from a person whose voice is in a recording, we will help you answer it.
Subprocessors
| Subprocessor | What it does | What it can see |
|---|---|---|
| Vercel | Hosting and content delivery for the web app and API | Requests to the site, including IP address and headers |
| Neon | The Postgres database behind synced meetings, notes and accounts | Everything you sync to the server; never audio |
| Clerk | Sign-in, sessions and account identity | Your email address, name and sign-in activity |
| Polar | Payments, as merchant of record | Your billing details and payment history; card numbers stay with Polar |
| DeepSeek | Summaries, hosted translations and Ask answers, only on a deployment where it is configured and only after you allow hosted AI | Text only, never audio: a whole meeting transcript with its title and your notes for a summary, the saved text being translated for a translation, or your question and the excerpts selected for it for Ask |
| Resend | Transactional email — contact replies and workspace invitations | The recipient's email address and the message we send |
Mobile purchases are not live
When SaidClear ships on the App Store and Google Play, purchases made inside those apps will be processed by Apple and Google, and RevenueCat may be added to reconcile them. None of the three processes anything today, so none of them is on the table above. This page changes on the day that does.
Changes
A new subprocessor appears here before it starts processing anything. If you need to be told in advance, write to support@dapols.com and we will add you to that notice.
